How Mark Cuban plans to make money off recent stock market volatility

Mark Cuban is planning to profit from the recent stock market volatility, the Dallas billionaire told CNBC.

In an interview on “Fast Money Halftime Report,” Cuban said he bought enough positions in VIX to “make some money” if trading volatility continues. VIX, formally known as the CBOE Volatility Index, and sometimes called the “fear gauge,” measures market expectations of near-term volatility based on S&P 500 stock index option prices.
