Aflac splits stock for 1st time in 17 years

Aflac has split its stock for the first time in 17 years.

Aflac announced the two for one split after the close of trading Tuesday.

The company’s shares have ranged from a low of $70.34 to a high of $91.73 over the past year.

It will be only the ninth time since Aflac shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in 1974 that a split has taken place, CEO Dan Amos said.
